Hello!
I’m here today to talk about two museums I visited when I arrived in Glasgow, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the Riverside museum. Both are incredible and you absolutely need to go there !
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
I was hearing a lot of things about it due to the building’s façade which is gorgeous.
This museum is one of the most important in Scotland.
It contains a large variety of
Europe’s art collections distributes on three floors. But the thing that I
loved the most was the monument itself, it was really impressive!
It is a
nice place to go when the sun is shining because you can just appreciate the
beauty of the place and have a break in the garden in front of the building
where there are some benches.
And if
it’s raining, you’ll be sheltered in the museum and you can take a coffee
inside to warm you up.
Besides, the entrance is free so you have no excuse to not
come here!

museum
This
museum is recent, it opened its doors in 2011 and received the Price of the
European museum of year 2013 by the European Forum of the Museum.
You can
find here some of the world’s finest cars, bicycles, ship models, trams and
locomotives. It’s pretty remarkable.
Behind the museum, you can visit a boat
and admire the kitchen, the bunks, a little lounge…anyway you can come in all
the rooms of the boat and that is very playful!
In my
opinion, it is just the outside of the building that I do not like too much, it
is very modern in contrast to the Kelvingrove museum which is more authentic
and I prefer this kind of architecture.
But you surely have to go there! (this
one is also free :) )

I’m
going to visit another museum next week in the centre of the city which seems
awesome, I’ll do another post about it!
