Today, for my last post, I decided to give you two opportunities to have fun and improve your knowledge in Glasgow!

Go to the Pollok Country Park !

Glasgow’s largest park and the only Country Park within the city - features the impressive Pollok House as well as the renowned Burrell Collection. It is located in Pollok, in the south of Glasgow. 

The park was voted Best Park in Britain 2007 and Europe's Best Park 2008. Its extensive woodlands and gardens provide a quiet sanctuary for both visitors and wildlife.

There are a lot of bars and restaurants in Glasgow, i’m just going to tell you some of the most important which are almost my favorites.

The Loch Lomond

You absolutely have to go there. This place is only at 1 hour by train of Glasgow so no excuses. 

The Loch Lomond is the largest freshwater of Great Britain, contains many islands and it’s situated in the south of the Highlands.

Now, let’s talk about shopping!

Glasgow is seen as one of the best destinations to go shopping in the United Kingdom, just behind London.

There is a route in Glasgow which people called « The golden Z », it is the paradise for shoppers. It begins from Argyle Street to Buchanan Street, and then to Sauchiehall Street (in the heart of the city).

What do you think about a magnificent walk?

Without making several kilometres outside the city, you can discover magnificent places inside. This is the case with two beautiful gardens in the heart of the city!

Ashton lane is a beautiful little street in the heart of the West End where you can find different bars and restaurant.

I am a French student who live in Glasgow this year, and as you can understand, start a new life in a new country is always difficult at the beginning .
